    这棵老树可能有百年了。每年给它修枝,只能照它的树干。

    前院也有很多的树,可想秋天扫叶子时,有多辛苦。

We have to make certain that we aren't ugly Canadian. We must take the time and patience to introduce our foreign clients to our ways, but in such a manner that we don't forget that they are coming from a different belief system.

    At the same time, we hope those new comers also respect us as a real estate agent as well as  respect our rules, showing your dignity.

    One of my client came from Africa. He was worried that other people could look him down. So he approched me. I showed my respect to him.

    I showed him a few properties as he requested. Afterwards, I realized that he had no money, but big talk. He asked me to show him all those properties, close to a million dollars. I carefully tried to understand him and asked him if he had already contacted the bank for the mortgage. He said he would give cash offer,  no need financing. I was shocked at that moment. Anyway, I kept showing him all those properties, some acreages too in that price range. After a few trips, I politely asked him which one you liked the best. He told me what he liked and disliked. Then I asked him if he prepared to give an offer to one of those properties. He asked all those silly questions showed that he had never owned a property, never ever contacted the bank. Even he could not $1000 as initial deposit. How can he buy a million dollar house even having no thousand dollar in the pocket. Oh Dear! He had no money at all. I said I would be happy to show you more until you got the financing in the place.

    He kept calling me, saying that please don't quit on him. He would buy in future. Certainly, he would buy. What future is future, 10 year, or 20 years from now on?

     I still don't understand what he tried to do, what he would like. Is it only because he can get free tour to those wealthy properties? How can I respect that kind of people? Can you?

    WASHINGTON (AP) — It was the hottest ticket in town, a black-tie dinner gathering of Washington's political and media elite but Dick Cheney couldn't make it.

    The former vice president was busy, President Barack Obama joked, working on his memoir "tentatively titled, How to Shoot Friends and Interrogate People.' "

    As the star attraction of Saturday night's star-studded annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner, Obama enjoyed poking fun at his critics and the Republican Party. But his own administration, in power for just over 100 days, was also a target of the president's playful digs and one-liners.

    "I believe my next hundred days will be so successful that I will be able to complete them in 72 days," he said to a roar of laughter. "And on my 73rd day, I will rest."

    His chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, Obama observed, always has a hard time on Mother's Day.

    "He's not used to saying the word 'day' after 'mother,'" Obama said.

    The chairman of Republican National Committee, Michael Steele, was "in the house tonight," Obama noted. "Or as he would say, 'In the heezy.'"

    "Michael for the last time, the Republican Party does not qualify for a bailout," Obama told Steele. " Rush Limbaugh does not count as a troubled asset, I'm sorry."

    Obama made light of his frequent use of a teleprompter and poked fun at Vice President Joe Biden's habit of speaking off the cuff. And about the Democratic Party, Obama said his administration has helped in "bringing in fresh, young faces — like Arlen Specter." The 79-year-old Pennsylvania senator, a former Republican, switched parties last month.

  • Rich Man

    Rich Man Joke

    There once was a rich man who was near death.

     He was very grieved because he had worked so

     hard for his money and he wanted to be able to

     take it with him to heaven. So the rich man began to pray that he might be able to take some of his wealth

     with him.

    An angel hears his plea and appears to him.

     "Sorry Rich Man, but you can't take your wealth with you."

     The man implores the angel to speak to God to

     see if He might bend the rules. The man

     continues to pray that his wealth could follow him.

     The angel reappears and informs the man that

     God had decided to allow him to take one suit-

     case with him. Overjoyed, the man gathers his

     largest suitcase and fills it with pure gold bars

     and places it beside his bed.

     Soon afterward the man dies and shows up at

     the Gates of Heaven to greet St. Peter. Peter

     seeing the suitcase says, "Hold on, you can't

     bring that in here!" But, the man explains to

     Peter that he has permission and asks him to

     verify his story with the Lord.

     Sure enough, Peter checks and comes back

     saying, "You're right. You are allowed one carry-on

     bag, but I'm supposed to check its contents before

     letting it through." Peter opens the suitcase to

     inspect the worldly items that the man found too

     precious to leave behind and exclaims,

     "You brought pavement?!?"
